WikiExpert had the pleasure and honor to interview Two-Time EMMY Nomitated, Stephanie Mansour, a nationally recognized Health & Fitness Expert. She has been seen on many TV shows including CNN, and Dr. Oz. Steph is dedicated to helping millions of people with losing weight and lifestyle hacks. She also helps her clients with their insecurities and she helps them to adapt emotionally. So, let's get down to the interesting side and let's get to know Steph better.

We started with a few questions about Steph's career and Online Weight Loss Coaching:

WikiExpert: How do you help your clients with staying focused and motivated to lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle?

Steph: I believe in being deeply connected to your big reason WHY eating healthy and losing weight is important to you. The bigger the WHY, the easier the HOW (and no willpower needed!) If you want to lose weight because you value and cherish yourself, you'll be more likely to stick to it than if you hate yourself and berate yourself for every negative choice. Focus on step by step, day by day, minute by minute choices instead of feeling like you have to "start over" tomorrow or Monday. Start over NOW!

WikiExpert: We see that you have coached one reality TV star to lose almost 90 lbs in 3 months! Which is amazing! Could you tell us a little about it?

Steph: Yes, she was a super dedicated client because we worked on the mental side of weight loss first! I had to make sure she was mentally in the game. She wanted to get healthy to be an example to her family. I documented the exact program that I created for her and have an action plan that people can download for free at Step it up with Steph!

Basically, we set her up on a workout program (mostly HIIT workouts and yoga!) and a healthy eating plan to get her to lose weight quickly. I held her accountable and we were in very close contact. What I did with her mimics what I do with clients in my 3 and 6-month coaching programs.

WikiExpert: Can you tell us a little more about your journey to becoming a Health/Weight Loss Coach?

Steph: I've always wanted to have a wellness and lifestyle TV show. Growing up, I was a tomboy. When I was in college, I gained the freshman 15 and then some. I also studied the media and message towards women - lose weight, be skinny, have friends, and be happy. It all had to do with weight, calories, restriction, working yourself to death, and then being happy or snagging the guy or getting the promotion.

Once I holistically transformed my life (after trying many of those things with no long term success!) I decided that I wanted to create positive pro-social media messages for women everywhere to create health and wellness on their own terms. Then I got my personal training, yoga, Pilates, and professional Life Coaching certifications, and started working one on one with clients!

WikiExpert: What challenges do you face currently as a Coach, and how do you overcome these?

Steph: As a Coach, I have private weight loss clients who I am extremely dedicated to. But I also write for a variety of outlets, like NBC, the Today Show, CNN, and appear on countless TV shows spreading this message. It can be a lot to manage! Thankfully, I have a part-time assistant and interns who help me when I'm live or need help with research. But wearing these different hats can get exhausting (albeit fun) and I need to always pencil in some downtime, which can be hard!

WikiExpert: Lack of confidence is a common issue, especially among women. What advice do you offer to women who are lacking confidence?

Steph: Focus on a few things that you LIKE about yourself first. Then, write down the list of things that you don't like, and then write down action steps you can take to start liking those things more. No one gives you permission to feel good about yourself - it needs to come from within!

WikiExpert: Can you tell us a little more about your TV shows?

Steph: I appear on tons of TV shows and news programs with health & fitness segments. We also had Season 1 of "Step It Up with Steph" the TV show that aired on PBS station WTTW in Chicago!

WikiExpert: What is the most rewarding part of being a Health/Weight Loss Coach?

Steph: I love watching my clients' minds transform! I know this sounds weird, but the mental shifts excited me the most! They start talking differently about themselves and about food and exercise, and it's all thanks to the mindset work that I focus on in our Step It Up with Steph programs and messaging.

WikiExpert: How can someone achieve weight loss through Online Sessions? How do you go about helping them online?

Steph: We have a totally free 21-day challenge that has an easy working plan, simple eating plan, and confidence boosting exercises to follow. The confidence-boosting exercises are key because once you feel good about yourself, you value yourself more and stay committed to your health. So then following a workout and eating plan becomes less work and more exciting! I also work with all of my private weight loss clients online and over the phone. Many of them are busy and want to touch base with me throughout the week while they're on the fly. It works really well!

Now, let's get to know Steph a little better and see what she likes to do in her free time:

WikiExpert: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Steph: I love playing tennis! I recently upped my game to 4 times a week and it's such a fun sport to play.

WikiExpert: We see that you already have a lot going on? TV shows, weight loss programs, and more. Is there anything else that you are planning to do?

Steph: I am working on the TV show going national! I want to impact as many lives as possible, so a national TV show has always been my ultimate goal.

WikiExpert: Name one workout and a diet that you cannot live without?

Steph: Currently, Tennis! But for my sanity, it's definitely Yoga :)
