I consider myself a "Service Practitioner" and seek to provide support and guidance to my clients in identifying and embracing their authentic selves, and managing the implications of the self on their lives and those around them. My background is quite varied. I’ve worked with the following populations over the last 17 years; families of all types, children of all ages, adults up to 65, parents, foster families, divorce, child welfare/trauma, juvenile and adult justice systems and child welfare
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) #60930; San Jose State University, Master of Social Work
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works in the mental health realm, I appreciate Bowenian Family System theory, The Satir Method and the concepts that Carl Rogers introduced; the client is, in their way, an expert on a path to knowing a higher self and creating a more actualized existence. Clients know their lives, their goals, their dreams, beliefs etc. I attempt to meet my client's expertise with my own which I have gathered from school, life, family, experience, theory, and practice.
