I have been a therapist for over 20 years helping individuals with mood and anxiety disorders; trauma from military experience, sexual abuse, and domestic violence; identity confusion; and parenting challenges. In addition, I have taught university level clinical classes, and provided leadership in my professional organization.
PhD, LCSW
Theoretical bases for my work with individuals include cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, psychodynamic, brief solution focused, existential, and acceptance and commitment therapies. The individual client's needs, preferences, and goals drive what happens in therapy. I see therapy as a collaborative effort with my client.
