I know we all don’t love everything about what we see in the mirror. It’s natural to be your own worst critic. Often times we let these insecurities manifest in our behavior and actions around friends, family, co-workers, even strangers.
What if I told you that it is impossible to see yourself as others see you? We all have that inner critic that judges us a bit harsher than others. Having negative body image issues can really suck the enjoyment out of life. It’s important to realize that others value self-confidence over a ‘perfect body or face’.
Your way of thinking can really determine the way others view you and you view yourself. It can also affect your sexual confidence. The brain is the most important sexual organ when it comes to sexual pleasure.
I have sexual partners from years ago that still email or text me. Not because I’m the prettiest, or I have this amazing bag of tricks (which I do), it’s because my confidence is intoxicating and unforgettable.
Let me put it like this, full body pleasure requires your willingness to relax and accept pleasure. You can’t fully relax if you’re thinking how does the lighting make my stretch marks look. Because in reality the last thing your partner is thinking about at this point are any of the flaws YOU see in yourself. They are too busy concentrating on the experience, on the essence of being with you. Clear your mind and relax. Let your partner know that you are only focusing on the moment.
In a nutshell, having negative thoughts can really impede your ability to let go and have amazing intimacy.
