Attention: Are you finding it difficult to put your trust in God?

It can be challenging to have faith in something without seeing results, but don’t let that keep you from making progress. Trusting God can be compared to playing baseball, where the outcome of any swing could launch balled up worries out the park. This all starts at “home plate” where the issues are clear and obvious.

The dilemma is this, if you get a hit, it means you have to move. But a run down the first base line only means separation from the problems at “home plate”. A double or even a triple takes you further from unresolved issues, but your issues are not in the field. Hitting a homerun makes sense but it still means coming back to the problems that await you at home plate. How could this be when God is the umpire?

The Ump calls it like it is and He’s always right. With Him you are Safe. The bellow of “Batter up” means it's time to swing at the balls life throws at you. Home Plate is not where the issues originate, it’s in the balls thrown your way. This time make contact with meaning not with pretense. Swing with a purpose. Leave the familiar plate of worries and concerns and run to safety.

Decide to move around the bases (of life). Consistent wacks at each bound up ball of confusion advances you beyond the slumps of so many. Movement is the key. Keep moving in the direction of your goals. Determine to use the familiar plate as a launching pad for your familiar issues. Trust the umpire. Your stress is safe with him. Live your life. A field of opportunity awaits you.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths (Pro. 3:5-6).
