Three studies evaluated the reliability and validity of the Assessment of Attributions for Career Decision Making (AACDM), a measure of an individual's attributional style for career decision making. Factor analysis of the AACDM supported a three-factor structure consistent with attribution theory. Additional psychometric support for the AACDM included adequate internal consistency estimates and test–retest reliabilities and evidence of the measure's construct, criterion-related, and incremental validity. Suggestions for ongoing development of the AACDM and recommendations for its use in career counseling and research are discussed
