Podcasts are taking the entertainment industry by storm across the world. Around 700,000 active podcasts exist in more than 100 languages, and business is the second most popular podcasting genre. It’s no wonder that more and more business owners are using podcasts to elevate their entrepreneurial success.
Even better, you don’t have to air one of the best podcasts out there in order to see major benefits for your business. By using podcasts for your business, you’ll:
Improve your public speaking skills.
Podcasts can give you all the benefits of public speaking practice without the fear of talking in real-time to a large group of people. They’re the perfect way to begin feeling more comfortable discussing a variety of topics and presenting yourself orally to an audience. The best part? You don’t have to worry about messing up. Audio editing software is easy to use, and you can always re-record or edit out any blunders.
Embrace cost-effective marketing.
Believe it or not, podcasting is a great way to advertise your company and the services you offer. While you may not be directly speaking about those services in your episodes, use your podcast as a way to subtly put some information about your business into the world. This will generate interest and potentially attract future Clients, and it won’t break your marketing budget.
Build a meaningful relationship with your audience.
There’s no underestimating the power of connecting organically with your audience, and podcasts can help you do just that. Because of the auditory nature of podcasts, business owners can use podcasts as an opportunity to “converse” casually with their customers. Hearing the voice of a business owner makes them seem real, relatable, and accessible, and that can paint a great picture for your organization.
