Our projected version of "reality" is merely a result of how we perceive things to be. Our perception stems from our internal representations, which is just another fancy word for images that we've created from past traumas and experiences from childhood. Often times we may not even remember certain traumas , especially if it caused emotions of anger, fear and a deep sadness. The unconscious mind protects us by suppressing what we aren't ready to confront and as we go in with our lives, our very fears are projected into our lives and our relationships, preventing us from a blissful and successful existence. Reframing provides the possibility of change and being in full control of the outcome.
