How will you make sure you are staying on your track?

 

How do you stay motivated?

 

It happens for all of us many times that we made a really good plan and scheduled all the steps but after a couple of days being on track, we were not on our plan anymore and we lost our motivation.

You know why? 

Because we were not prepared enough for our plan. We did not gather all the pieces we might need for our goal... 

What are those pieces?

3 Ds : 1. Determine 

          2. Decision

          3. Do

These 3 Ds are all necessary. We need to recognize what we want to do. Then we need to know why we want to do that. This why should come up with a good reason that could convince us to stay on our track. For instance, If we want to save our money for buying a car, we need to notice ourselves every single time while we are doing binge - shopping that I have a bigger plan for my money.

The last item is " DO" which is related to our action. If you don't spend enough time on making the decison based on your compelling reason then your action will be temporary. Then you will lose your motivation and your committment really soon. If you go back to your failed experience, you will see that you ignored the "decision" step. First you determined what you want to do then immediately you jumped into doing the action, without even thinking about the appropriate reason.

Let's try that out and see how it works for you. It is simple but it needs some practice to understand that the decision making is the main key for success.
